So who's weeping now?

Today. Last day of school. So who's celebrating and whose weeping now? Ok, before i go on with that, you should know what the "Last day of school" was meant for.

You would see students jumping up and down hollering "Hooray! No more school!! Time for HOLIDAY!!!". Or you could either see happy students with their bright, wide grins on their faces, literally skipping away from their classes towards the school gate at the end of the last period. And not to forget, waving happily to their teachers, classmates, schoolmates and maybe to the school, before leaving for home or wherever they go next. Ok maybe for that waving at the school part. In their minds would they think of the happy thoughts of not coming to school for two months. That is the typical scene you will see ain't i right?

BUT, unless you are in Secondary 3 Express, are registered in my class, are taking your 'O' Levels next year, you will NEVER EVER experience that kind of joy of having the last day of school!

Not that i am complaining about these. I know that what they are trying to do to us, are really gonna benefit us ALOT when we take our 'O's next year. It's just that knowing that you won't have at least these next 2 months to not study, to not enjoy to the max, to not loll around doing nothing, or to not sleep all day, had just dampen my mood for the holidays.

The first time in my life. In the history of being given holiday homeworks. NEVER have i received such thick HOLIDAY ASSIGNMENTS from the various subject combination of mine. NEVER. NADA. NEIN.
You would have seen the "shock"-look on my face knowing that we had to do a stack of worksheets and, to make matters worse, downloading maths sums online every friday!! Ok now, that's not it. Not forgetting about the extra lessons conducted during the holidays. Ah yes, you're right. Which means I have to came back to school for lessons. MY friends and of course OUR teachers too. So really. It's nothing or a win-win situation, more of a lose-lose situation. The students having to sacrifice their time to study, and the teachers having to sacrifice their time to teach us. So to answer my question on "So who's weeping now?", is none other than our teachers, my friends, and most importantly.. ME!!

Ok. So, whatever the plans for the next 2 months, i'm sure it's really gonna be tough and tight. So please let us teachers and students work hard together ok. So, let us hope that we, these group of people, won't be losing their sanity anytime soon..

Oh ya. Almost forgot to mention. Before starting on the holiday assignments, let me party it up a bit ya. That way, i won't be weeping that much!! =)

`adios
